96 civic ex

im considering buying a 96 civic ...but eveyone is trying to stop me becuz the mileage is at 187 000km......should this stop me or is a honda engine that reliable?

No i would'nt let it stop me, and yes that engine should last you a long time if it was taken care of..

its costing me 6000 canadian....i brought it in 2day for an inspection the timing belt was replaced 2 years ago so thats alright the breaks were good....just the front wheel baring needed changing everything else was alright....just to many ppl making me paranoid about the mileage

It shoul have around that mileage on it. Its around 120,000 miles and 15k a yr for 8 yrs is 120k..If it is in nice shape i think i would take it for an ex check it out good...
