carbon fiber sunroof?

Hey i know there is a carbon fiber sunroof kit but i see it on ebay sometimes where there is one that it jsut the carbon fiber top that will still allow you to open and close your sunroof...qquestion is anybody know a sight that offers it cause i think guy does it on ebay does it every so often so they dont get played out so quick so he make more money offering it limited at a time...

I also found something intresting u guys might have know but i didnt they make carbon fiber brake pads what the hell is that shit..If i run by any carbon fiber sunroof ill let you know...for a bigger pic of these ladies nude lol j/k

I'm sick and tired of the CRX Si sunroof. Mine was shit so I removed it and lo and behold found rust galore, though electronically is still functional (well, not anymore cuz I removed part of the sliders). I've been through 3 plexiglass roofs only to have them crack at the bolt seems. They never really line up with the shape of the roof line either. I came out to my car after work yesterday to sit in a nice squishy wet seat and thus wet ass. It really is a shame that the Si hatch sunroof won't line up with the design of the CRX Si roof hole (crx roof slanted). At this point, I'm considering welding the original roof piece that I kept permanently in place and fiberglassing the rust holes in it as I should have done originally.

I've never seen a working carbon fiber sun roof, anyone got pics of this?

A "working" carbon fiber sunroof defeats the purpose behind the idea. When I had my 89' hatch, the guy who makes the CF plugs used my car for the template. He is local here in Salt Lake. The quality, and material provided is top notch. However, I removed all the componants of my sunroof, sliders, etc.

ya but kris i took my a/c out for the futur e b20 in a few months....so i want a working sunroof and i seen a carbon fiber one i wwant to replace my rusty hole one....

haha... they use carbon fiber brake pads in nascar and F1 cars. THey are supposed to have the best grip and last an extremely long time. Extremely expensive from what I understand. I have been wondering if they made any for regular auto applications.

yea they make them for crx's i just found them when i was looking for his carbonfiber sunroof and i noticed them the guy wanted 250 on the set i had never seen anything about them thats why i asked..

kris, only wanted get a carbon fiber roof cause one thats on is rusted with a fat whole and i wanted to still have a sunroof or i would have just got and HF

I have a good question? (not trying to steal the thread or anything) I've seen a few crx si's running with a painted top on the sunroof while others are just glass. Was that an option or is it rare to see them like that.

glasss top dpnt come on usdm stock ornp such option...i thinking about getting that done but i hate for the sun shine in right on me....i hear they get them off newer cars or have a glass cut for the frame

hey bam might be asking you some wiring questions soon when i start doing that...i dont know if i can use my stock crx wiring harness can i?...funny i just putting together my victor x manifold and 65 mm throttle body fomr edelbrock today for the b20 project with my 550 rc engineers injectors...do you know a good fuel rail and pressure regulator? brand wise?
