Has anyone put a fuel pump in an 87 cierra, if so is it like other GM products?
retaining ring that turns and then pump is held in by the ring? And does the tank have to come out completely? Is there any access ports in the trunk? that would be too easy. Any info appreciated.

Yes, Drop the tank.
Draining by drawing fuel from the lines will take away weight.
