I have a 2000 LT Z71 ext.cab where I am trying to install an aftermarket CD changer. The changer is RF modulated and hooks into the antenna of my factory radio. The wiring looks pretty simple, but I'm having difficulty finding a suitable place to mount the changer itself. I thought the center console would be ideal, but it turns out that it's too small once the mounting brackets are added to the changer. Has anyone out there installed one themselves or have had something similar installed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Now don't laugh.. I know this sounds really ghetto. Trust me it works. I have mounted CD changers in the center console using really strong velcro before. If you can get the changer in a spot to where you can put velcro on the bottom of the changer and on the side, it really does make a secure bond and the changer does not skip. It's not quite as good as using the mounting brackets, but it really does work. If that sounds too shoddy, underneath the rear seat works. Hopefully this helps a little.
