Camaro Vs Ferrari

Well i raced a ferrari i don't even know what kind it was, well do i need to say more he whooped me pretty good, i just wanted to know if my camaro had the same torque and hp would his car still win because of the weight, and how much weight can we remove from the camaro without disturbing performance?

the Ferrari would probably still beat you because of the design of the car. it is completely designed to go fast and thats it. your Camaro on the other hand is designed to go fast, yes, but in a driveable manner. more tame, so to speak. the aerodynamics, chassis design, and drivetrain of the Ferrari are all optimized perfectly for speed.

well that depends on what the car is used for.. If it is a daily driver or not.. You could rip out all of the interior, carpets, passenger and rear seats, panels.. Move your battery to the hatch passenger side, take out your A/C and compressor, heater with all pipes and hoses.. Get a fiberglass hood... dont sit in it.. etc, etc

i dunno man just because its a ferrari doesn;t mean it will beat everything what if its the cheapest one just get a supercharger or a blower and u can keep up well shit a blower u could take it down but s/c u can keep up

good story, me and my good friend 97SlvrZee, both in our cars pull up to another LS1 Camaro on a four lane road and started to play a little when a Enzo pulled you next to all of us... Boy we all took off a few times and every time the Enzo lost... Mind you this was at about 80MPH and I dont think the Driver of the Enzo knew what he was doing... I kept hearing the thing rev like the engine was going to blow out of it or something... Hey JD chim in and tell the story the way you remembe it...

Yeah Todd is right... the guy in the Enzo didn't know how to drive...keep in mind that the enzo is the fastest ferrari on the market and runs deep 11's in the quarter. Tha t being said, I saw a bone stock Z06 run 11.97 on street rubber. We, in short, acosted, no, let me change that...we gang raped that wop gunea euro piece of shit. At the time my car was the slower and by the time we reached warp speed...around 150 or so... I had 3 lengths on this guy. lol. I think he was a little pissed that 3, 20 thousand dollar cars beat his brand new(still had dealer tags) 700,000 dollar car. It was the most hillarious thing I'd seen in a while, until we saw the cop. Besides the point, I had been oohhhing and ahhing over that very same car at a car show not 2 weeks before lol !!!!

Common misconception If the race had went over 165 we would not have won. If the race was not on a strait road we would not have won. did you know that the fastest production Lambo only runs 13's in the quarter?

The Enzo is not the fastest car evermade, and to my knowlege there are 11 in Houston. This is per an Exotic import dealer in H-town. And it was an Enzo simply for the fact that you cannot mistake that car for any other Ferrari. That would be like mistaking a fierro for a bently

First off, the Enzo Is rated at 600 and something horsepower. I read the mods on the slverbullet and the other camaro and I am guessing those guys have about 500hp each, Seeing as a Ferrari makes most of its power in the later rpms, I can believe that they beat one by a few car lengts. Also you say that the Ferrari would have beat you in the corners, I don't know about that, Both of those Camaro's have polyurethane bushing as one of the mods done, add in bigger sway bars and talk about taking some corners. You two have some awsome rides, and built them about how I would build one. Your Camaro's probabbly rule the streets until a big block chevy comes around, even then the big block probabbly needs a blower to whip your cars.......To the ORIGINAL THREAD STARTER. Don't you know when someone beats you then you go and mod you car, if you have a 3rd Gen, I can give you some killer tips that will help you to waste almost any car on the road. I never once said my car could beat one in a straight up race, just what happen... Oh and my camaro is a lot more than you think, things are missing in the sig that I dont like to let the public know about... But I will say I have over 30 grand in the car...

Well i can't wait until i'll be able to smoke a ferrari. i got a lt1 in my 89 camaro. I wanted to stroke it into a 383 but decided to just convert it into a lt4 and putting a turbo and then hopefully i might be able to hang with the big dogs.

i think it was more along the lines of, he was playing with you guys. and maybe racing you at low rpm's just to see if he could still beat you.
i've done this pleanty of times and once lost to a rsx-s because i floored it at 2500 rpm's in 4th gear instead of downshifting to 3rd.

i can promise you that if i went out and bought a enzo tommorow, and though i'm only 23 with 6 years of driving experience, i would rape anything on the road.

a mercailago hit it on me the other day but was only at half throttle, because though i couldn't catch him he wasn't pulling away from me
and i was at full throttle.


imagine the things civics can say about you guys when you toy with them or punch it for a qucik second and shut down and they think your still at full throttle then go tell there little ricer friends that they beat a Z28 camaro

you dont know ur lambos for shit, the stock 98' diablo sv runs in the 11.6's not even without taking out the seats or anything, if u only know chevy's then dont start talking about lambos when you dont know shit about them, im not gonna stand for it, you can always upgrade a camaro, u can do the same to a diablo... and the diablo will always be a better car...

actually the fastest dealer (notice i said dealer and not factory because enzo is a dealer) car is the dick harrell edition berger supercar camaro. it has 630hp and torque to match, and it runs in the 10's. they are all sold tho, i'm not sure how many that they made, but when the article about them was printed there were only 4 left. if you want to read about it check out the latest issue of chevy hi performance.

AND a Diablo svTT runs 1/4's in est. 10.3 seconds.. And the vtTT in 10.4 seconds

The Murcielago and the Gallardo I do believe are both under 13 seconds but someone would havta double check that..

The ZL1 has something like 770hp... and it'l do a quarter mile in 10.4 seconds..

I heard that the biggest engine in the Harrell supercar had 640hp?? It'd havta be Real light to beat a ZL1

First off, just where do you think they test ran their cars and got those #'s, and do you really think that the ones they send over here do that? If that's the case then you don't know your Lambos for shit. Go have some pasta or something you're bothering me.

and i hope you didn't take what i said to you to heart, but from what i read, you guys all beat a enzo and the reason was cause he couldn't drive. if he was dumb enough to keep his rpm's at redline as if he couldn't shift or something, as soon as he did shift there should have been a roar among you guys, and your doors should have fell to the floor.
unless you guys are running 11 second quarter's, with some nice long gears.
i'm not doubting that you had an encounter with the enzo, but i doubt he was even trying, and or he messed up and just quit cause he felt dumb............... i guess thats a possability

and the mercialago runs 11.7 in the 1320, there are no hp changes from here and anywhere else

we have some fast cars, im not posting times, sorry, maybe i'll pm them to you, maybe... the guy in the enzo did this about four or five times from 80mph to 155 or so but lost everytime... the other Camaro I later found out was one of MTI's cars that was out for the night making some money... Dude dont worry it all fun and games....You seem cool...

Here's how I view it...you can make your Camaro as fast as a Ferrari for little money, but you're going to sacrifice something doing it. And no matter what you do, the Enzo is still FAR, FAR, FAR superior in terms of chassis, aerodynamics, and weight balancing.
