The Thunderbirds Maiden Voyage.....and its problems

Last week was Tealbird's maiden voyage. After not being able to drive it, i was finally able to get it insured and licensed. I noticed though, the transmission doesnt like to be in third gear between 1000-2000 RPM's.
Without overdrive, in third gear, under normal and heavy acceleration, the transmission will start to shutter, and vibrate, quite badly. When going up a hill, under full accleration, the transmission will not shift down to second or first, only after awhile it will shift down (Example: Going up a 1000 ft long hill, it will downshift at around 700-800 feet..almost all the way up the hill..)
In overdrive, when under regular and heavy accelaration, it will still shutter and vibrate, but not so severly.
I do eventually want to get a B&M Transmission cool (What GVW?), and possibly a Maurder TC. I still have to check to see if i still have the stock 2-piece driveshaft.
And help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
BTW, yes i do like my Thunderbird now that i can actually drive it, minus the above issues. :)

Well did you do any burnouts?
Its hard to resist, but I figure since you had those issues you might have taken it easy!
Good luck and ENJOY!

Not really a burn out, just a WOT Peel out. Kinda weak infact. 4000lbs dont mix with peeling out. but, yea, its nice. Especially at WOT... with the straight pipes
I almost got into a race tonight with a brand new Mustang GT..but my concience got the better of me.

Hope you enjoy the car! just don't do anything you don't want to like racing someone! The Stang probably would have won, but it would have been fun!
