Is this thing a joke just like all the other "perfomance enhancing" items on ebay? Wasn't sure since this one actually has a lifetime waranttee with it...

Oh yeah, works great. Actually works better if you send extra money in for it. In fact, the more you pay for it, the more horsehockey, I mean horsepower, you get. I paid $3500.00 for mine and my Aurora actually lifts off the pavement. Had to buy wings for it just to make it to work. A sure bet, order one today before they're all gone.

LOL!!! that's what I was thinking --- did you get the 747 wings, or did you go for something bigger? I was thinking about some racing stripes too!

Actually it might work very well.

The idea is to fool the engine ECU into thinking there is more air coming into the intake than actually is. You can do that by changing the resistance of the IAT, Intake Air Temperature sensor, or even the MAF itself.

Unless you have the throttle wide open the OEM engine controller tries to attain a perfect mixture ratio, no unburned hydrocarbons nor oxygen into the exhaust manifold.

You can typically get more HP out of a given engine by running the mixture richer than the above "ideal".

If the intake airstream is actually at say, 55F, and the ECU is made to think it is at 35F (colder = denser) it will throw in more fuel than is appropreate given the "thinness" of the actual airflow.

1 part fulel to 12 parts air vs ~15:1.
