um, i dont know about all that. if the only thing that is damaged in the bearing on the driveshaft than that should be 100 bucks tops to replace. so long as nothing else is effected you can just go out and get a new driveshaft. actually i would recommend getting one off a z28 that way you have a one piece and wont have to worry about it again. that is if you can deal with the added vibration that the car will have with the one-piece...

Are you talking about the torque arm that runs beside the driveshaft??? If thats what you mean, chances are you just broke the mount. You can get a replacement GM mount from the dealership or you can upgrade to a poly mount which is stronger but harder too.

it cost 50- 70 bucks for the center support bearing plus labor to fix at one place in albany. but i need to take the old driveshaft off and bring it there. so that means find someone with a lift. i called a used auto parts junk yard for a price on a driveshaft and found one for 125 buck and anthor place for 50 bucks. 50 bucks yeah baby i hope it fixes it. i gunna save some money. gm parts are alot.$$$$
unless anyone knows where i can get a cheap aftermarket driveshaft from. thank 4 everyone who replys

Look for a driveshaft place near you, they can make a one piece shaft for you. Its what my son did on his car. and there is no vibration at all.
We called all around here and nobody serviced the support bearing at all , not even the driveshaft place that made the one peice for us.
If you dont have a driveshaft place neer you then do a search on line
I woulndt trust a used one, who knows how long it will last.
With a one piece you will never have to worry about it anymore.

Will the aluminum shafts from the LT1 and LS1 cars not fit directly in place of the crappy two piece V6 version??
