wont start

my 91 jimmy recently decided not to start. it seems like there is no ignition. we just went through hurricane francis, could the rain and wind have some thing to do with it. if not any ideas?

I'm assuming the distributor, cap, rotor and leads are dry and in serviceable condition. In fact all ignition associated wiring should be dry.

Check fuses.


Check for a spark.
No spark is indicative of a failed ignition module or possibly the coil.

OR

At those wind speeds, water may have been forced into the fuel tank. Did you refuel in those conditions ?
