180sx Ca18 to Sr20 conversion

im interested in converting my 180sx ca18 to a sr20, but i am interested in such things as price, difficulty, stuff like that

my main concerns are the price mainly, are there any difficult modifications you have to do to the engine bay?

Another concer would be with the added weight of the bigger engine, would the front suspension, and therfore handaling be disturbed in any way? would i need stiffer suspension?

Another thing i may have to do in the future is convert from auto to manual, would it be worthwile doing that wile doing the engine swap? and how much would that cos additionally?

I am assuming you live in japan and if that is so, it isn't much for the engine. Most of the time it is over $2000 in the states cause of the middle man and customs. There is no needed modification to the engine bay. The sr20 is a stock engine of a 180sx. Like the 240sx here in the states, we don't need to modify the bay at all cept for the wiring and such that is needed cause of the RHD/LHD difference.

Im actually living in Australia, but i think i can get my hands on a Sr20 redtop for around 1.5g Aus, 80 000kms on it

if anyone knows, is it much of a difficult task changing from Auto to manual.... costs involved etc

The swap from auto to manual isnt too expensive because the swap comes with the most expensive parts. You will need interior trim pieces, clutch pedal, clutch master cylendar, lines, slave cylendar, cross member for the tranny, drive shaft.

Last question, because the Sr20 is a heavier motor, does anyone know how this will effect the suspesion, and front end handaling? if at all,
