97 Silverado Died

motoring down freeway, engine just quit for a second or two, then started up by itself again. happened more and more frequently until finally truck just won't start. motor turns over but no firing. suspect fuel pump bad. how much will this cost me to fix? i'm a poor college kid...

i found that the fuel pumps run about 100.00 bucks

dealer put in a new fuel pump and it still would not start, found out it was the ignition switch, so I made them put the old fuel pump back in (and did not pay for all that), and it runs fine.
