This escort will run normal till it has time to warm up then it has no power at all,the rpm's will rev up but the max speed is about 20 mph .Once it starts acting up if you stop at a light it will kinda chug along and it might have a boost of speed .......sometimes. I have changed the tps sensor, the computer, and the mass air flow sensor on it .The one thing i have found that i think might be it is a wire from the main fuse box under the hood that goes into the fuse for the fuel injection that has been melted .Any kinda help will be great thanks alot .

A couple ideas... although first you should take care of the already known to be melted wiring...

If that doesn't take care of it, check the condition of your transmission or clutch just to make sure the problem isn't due to low fluid or slipping.

Sounds like you are saying that the engine will run fine at idle and you can rev up rpm's as long as you are not driving.... that says your engine is doing what it is supposed to... although perhaps your melted wiring has something to do with it.

I wonder if your car is a manual transmission and you have sprung an oil leak.... rear main leaking onto the clutch plate. Happened to me once. Anytime I would try to go uphill I would lose power, but going down the road straight, as long as I did not accelerate quickly there was no problem.

If a manual, have a look under the car and look for leaks. If it is wet down there, and if you have never had your clutch replaced... being a 94 you might want to have it done and get the leak repaired at the same time.
If it is automatic just check the fluid level.

Do what he said^

But, it also sounds like the O2 sensor is slow and shot. It run's normal when cold because the computer is on "open loop mode" to give time for the O2 to warm up to operating temp. Once warm the PCM switches to "closed loop" and trims the AFR off of what the O2 sensor is reading, a shot O2 sensor will read lean so the PCM thinks it needs to add a bunch of fuel when it does'nt, so you run over rich and that kill's your power.

The CEL does not always come on right away, the PCM needs to determain between a good O2 with a lean condition, or a bad O2 with a normal condition.

I forgot to mention that the O2 sensor has been swapped with a known working one. Sorry.

We have since replaced the melted wire, it didn't seem to be the problem. Also, the car is an automatic transmission.

Try the ECT sensor.
check and add ground wires.
Make sure the two sections of the crank pully have not seperated causeing the crank pos trigger ring to move.
