'86 240z? You must be mistaken my friend? If you have a Z in it's a 1986 model... it has to be a Z31 300zx...

BTW: You should be able to get the code via the VIN... NISSAN dealership should be able to help you out...

yeah, the guy told me it was a 240z, when i got there it turned out to be a 200sx.
i called the nissan dealer and they said that models that you cant make a key from the vin number on models that old.
the also said there should be a key code in the glove box starting with the letter "x". i checked and all the glove box had was tire presure info.
any ideas other than calling the locksmith??
thanks

In all reality, I'd SERIOUSLY call the cops and make sure it's not stolen, man...for real...that bitch sounds hotter than Mila Jovovich...

Yuh... so it's not even a Z? A 200sx? S12's are dope... is it turbo? Sounds kinda fishy my friend... do you have the title? I hope...
I have no clue where-else the magic 'x' # would be... if it's not where it's suppossed to be. I'd hate to say it... but you will probably have to get a 'smithy to come take a shot at it.

Oh-yeah... why don't you try asking the guys at the 200sx forum?
