Please Help. My boyfriend decided to do his front brakes and rotors yesterday. He put them all back together, tightened the lug nuts and went for a test drive. There was a "vibration" or "wobble" so he went to take the tires off to make sure he tightened the rotors enough. When he went to take the tires/rims off... he took off the lug nuts and now the rims wont come off the hubs!!! He has tried to hit the tire with a mallet on the inside to loosen it.. it seems stuck right in the middle on the hub (the rotors come with hubs)... any ideas what he should do??? the tires don't even budge.. when you try and pull them the whole wheel assemly (rotors up to steering wheel, which is in the locked position move).. Please help asap.. feel free to message me on yahoo at flakeinvermont..

Thanks!!!!

thanks guys! we figured it out with a crowbar.. got them off and now returning the rotors/hubs for the correct sized parts... weird.. sux that our first attempt on our own and they give us a messed up part. I had a mechanic friend come over to observe and basically found out that it was definately the rotor/hub assembly.

have a happy labor day.. i know I am working my butt off!

I'd put some anti-sieze compound on the studs so that won't happen again.

The same thing happened at my high school auto shop with my principal's Mountaineer. We ran an 8ft long 2x4 to the opposite side of the car and hip it as hard as we could with a dead blow mallet.
