Replaced both control arms - '93 Metro

I had both control arms replaced in my '93 Metro, 1.0, in the last four months because of clunking sounds and loose suspension. They were due for it - being under a car for 11 years is a harsh environment to say the lease. I was going to attempt it myself, but glad I let a shop do it as both had to be cut off with a torch. I went with new ones with the hope that the car is going to last long enough to make it worthwhile ($180 from a dealer for the pass side; no choice, failed inspection - $70 for the driver side from ebay). It rides better now since most of the slop and play in the front end has been eliminated. Just wanted to share my experience.

Just wanting to know, ... did you have polyurethane bushings installed?

Have no idea about the polyurethane bushings. Whatever came installed on the control arms - they did not look like anything special, got installed.
