we've been in most of the major wars, some a little less then others.

we had a huge presense in WW1, more so then the US. but for WW2, it was a bit less (although we were still there in force).

i can't send you to any pages though. sorry man. keep searching.

World War I
South African War
World War II
Korea
Vietnam
Iraq I
Afghanistan (peacekeeping)
Iraq II

Off the top of my head...feel free to correct me.

actually, Canada refused to go to Iraq II. and i'm not certain of our presence in Iraq I or Vietnam.

Canada's been in lots of military engagements, usually alongside the U.S. as was previously stated. They do like to keep a low profile politically though.

In the War of 1812, The United States actually tried to invade Canada. Needless to way, we were unsucessful!

Canada is the bastard love child of the USA and France. Blame Canada!

Pretty much, just with way too many French people.

Technically we would be the bastard child of England and France, and the USA would be our bastard sibling. The French are mostly confined to one Province, which happens to be a pretty cool place to hang out, the drinking age is 18. Besides, these French people are almost all fluently bilingual these days, so it is entirely possible to get by in Quebec without knowing a word of french.
