94 sohc prelude automatic to a jdm vtec 5 speed. The actual transmission swap is not that bad (relative), its the pedals and shifter that are a problem. If you do it make SURE the shifter is positioned properly or it will always shift like shit. Also the wiring can be a bitch. Autos have a safety neutral lock, i had to wire mine so it is always in park. Anyway I had a friend do the work, a honda master mechanic, and he said it took about 20 hours for the transmission work. His experience probably made the switch a little faster then others but it is still an expensive proposition. I don't know what year/model your car is, i'm assuming prelude, but for a 92-96 prelude you need the clutch master cylinder, manual shifter assembly, clutch pedal assembly, and the hydrolic lines to run the transmission. I only ended up paying 800.00 to swap the engine, transmission, computer and for him to make everything work like stock, so it was a good deal for me to do it, rather then sell my auto and by a 5 speed. If you can handle it yourself or know someone then do it, i love my car, but its not worth the 2000.00 or so dollars to have a shop do it. Also, I know I can't spell.
