tap

I have a 92prelude si hitting 40,000 and ever since I bought the car when I shut it off, and when I'm idling after driving for a little bit I hear tapping under the car from I believe the catalitic converter (not sure). Its just an intermident tap every couple seconds and mettalic in nature. The car runs like a charm but i'm just curious as to what it is and if it could be a problem down the line.

ummmm - its just the car settling... i have never seen a car that DOESN'T do it. it may be the cat.. but it aint a bad thing.
