Rev engine, hear BOV

Do you guys ever hear your bov release when you are just revving your engine in neutral, or with the clutch in? It seems like I've heard of people who can do that, but I only hear the bov when I'm in gear and shift or let off the gas after boosting.
Maybe you have to be venting or have something louder than the 1g bov to hear it when revving...?

...the stock 2g bov? :screwy:
When you guys rev, how hard are you revving in neutral? Pedal to the floor to 6k rpm or what?

the 2nd gen has a blitz bov. i usually rev to like 3.5 or 4k to get a loud "pssshhht" :D

And when said revving takes place, does your boost gauge go into the positive psi range?

if any 1-2psi at the max... you cant get much more positive boost by just reving, there is no load on the motor!

yessum, but i dont have a -30/30 boost guage in it so it might be different for other people. i just went up to a local supply shop and got a 0-30psi guage and the lines i got going to it are very very small so it tells me really acuratly what psi im at.
doesnt the average boost guage install kit have a 1/4inch vacuum hose for the line?

Nylon to be specific, at least is what I use. You will build a little boost in neutral on small turbos.. 1-2psi may be enough to hear the BOV.

I can hear the bov in my 95 gs-t it has the 2g bov and everything stock, but i have to rev it until 6000 rpm and release the gas pedal to hear something pretty loud. on my eagle talon, with the greddy type-s and a lot of mods i couldn't hear the bov in neutral never.
