The difference between Ver 3 and ver 2.

I played both version 2 and 3 back to back yesterday (the mall i went to has both in the same arcade) I felt that there were some physics differences (i.e. the car's sliding was smoother in ver 3). Also, it maybe worth mentioning that this makes the first time playing version2 and the second playing 3.

version 2 is more about grip and version 3 is more about controlled slides.

The two are very dissimilar if you ask me. Ver. 2 is basically flying around corners at insane speeds, and Ver. 3 is more about precise car control via the throttle, brakes, and shifter, as well as the steering wheel

version 2 had all that going for it. although, wall hits are more punishable in version 3 though compared to version 2.

Yeah, but it's all MUCH more prevalent in Version 3, IMO.

ver2: not much skills required due to the dc2
ver3: alot slower, more skills, cars r more balanced

Yep. It looks a little better to not much though. Did you know there are corners that glitch? If your on the inside of certain corners if someone blocks you, you teleport in front of them. Crazy stuff. Happened to me twice. GLITCHERS! So my point is Ver. 3 is glitchy. Cars are more well balanced but, you still got your uber cars. They did slow down the game. Thats good now you get more game play! I hate Happo. Those races are too fast. Its like you didnt even play. V. 3 has new music. Thats kool. Although I wish they would've just gave you a larger soundtrack than adding all new songs. Bunta is easier but still impossible to beat at his final level. AI is smart to the point where I wanted to chop off Sudo's hands. Blocking me on the last stretch on uphill akina. It was impossible to get by him. Although I hate the fact that your opponents physics only exist on certain parts of the car. DUDE! Listen to this people. I was racing K.T. On tsuchisaka him in that scary all black FD. Well I was blocking him and shit, then I got all happy and grinned cuz I blocked him all the way to the oil slick then I stopped cuz if he wanted to pass he'd hit the oil! He hit the oil!!! HAHAHAHA I got so happy but then I noticed something HE WAS GRIPPING THROUGH THE OIL! What the heck was that?! KT has magic tires that are unable to become slick going through the oil?!?!!?!? Anywho I beat him with his cheating ways. But I hate that they dont put that much thought into the game. Maybe the AI drivers dont even get harmed by Rain? I also hate how you can feel your car slippin when they touch your back. I mean Its a good thing to add more 'realism' but that is scary. Your trying to get around a corner and someone is on your bumper making you countersteer to stay straight and comming out the corner you countered to much and scrape a wall.

version 2 is glitchy, 3 isn't. the glitch in version 2 happens if you take a turn with another car (parallel to eachother) and then the inside car when going to the outside goes into the other car, stahls the cars and lose around 20-30 km/h. version 3 however, whoever is in front by the smallest advantage is pushed ahead, which is a lot better than what it used to be. also the characters follow the storyline that is used in the manga, meaning they do the same things like hit the oil or turn their lights off. version 3 is slower so it puts a bigger emphasis on inner line.

if that's sarcasm i wasn't stating the obvious of version 3 being slower, i was stating that inner line is more important now since it is slower.

No, I'm being serious, i did not notice a speed difference.
