ignition switch problems

Wipers, radio, tail lights,A/C went out. I have traced it to the ignition switch and installed a new one. No matter what position I put the slider in ... the accessorys I listed above will still run when the Key is in the off position. When I disconected the old switch there was two plugs going into it. One of the places for a wire was burnt and it looked like someone had removed it from the plug and slid it on the top middle conector. It is a purple wire.( I never had power when the key was on accessory). If I try to wire it this way Everything still stays on. If both the connectors are put on and wired like it is supposed to I still have one pin not connected to anything. Am I missing a wire? I have looked and cannot seem to find the answer . Help Pease if you can.

Somehow I ended up with two hot feed wires going into the switch. It is supposed to only have one. It finaly got the best of me and I took it to a place that could trace it down and fix it. Seemed so simple after all that headache......
