Cleaning my headers

Hey I have a 94 Integra and I have had my DC Headers on for about a year and the inside of them are pretty dirty. I was wondering if there was any cleaner I could use or soak them in to clean them. What are some things you guys have done?

liquid plumber?
or take a wire hanger, then get like a big scrubby thing and hook them together, then scrub them

Uhh...water based solutions are probably the last thing you should use.

try brake cleaner

I'd use something that sprays in and evaporates and/or drips through quickly.

Brake cleaner sounds like it work. So would engine degreaser or carb cleaner.

How dirty is dirty? There should only be at most a dusting of dry carbon on the walls which will in no way affect performance.
If you have some sort of sticky, oily gunky build up, something is wrong with your engine.
