Ok I hooked up my new CD player in my 96 cavalier it worked fine until someone tried to push it in further and everything stopped now I cant get the new radio or old radio to work. I tried a voltage tester it says the power wire is hot but when I tried to test the fuse for the radio it says there is no juice going to it does this make sence????

Does the radio itsself have a fuse on the back of it? CHeck that to see if it blew. Also check the fuse you said you tesetd that has no power. You may have had somthing short out and it poped the fuse.

The radio has no fuse on it, but the old radio wont work either the fuse in the fuse panel is fine but no juice to the fuse. someone told me sometimes they just blow out behind the fuse panel but even if it did it doesnt make sence that when I test the hot wire for the radio it has juice but wont power either radio.

You may be testing the "memory wire" which is a constant hot wire conected to the radio. It keeps your preset, clock and so forth working. You may have a problem with the ignition wire that actually turns on the radio and powers it up.....

This may sound like a stupid question but how do you remove the stock radio out of a cavalier? I have a 96 z-28 and I can't figure out all what I need to do to get the radio out?
