P10 Timing chain adjustment???

Hi,

I have a noise coming from the engine, possibly timing chain. This dissapears at 3000rpm. Sometimes reappears but mainly under 3000rpm.

The performance of the car is not as good as it should be, it seems quite torquey but the maximum speed is 100-110mph which seems slow to me. The car idles well but the acceleration is not as quick as it should be I think.

Does anyone know how to put some tension on the chain without having to replace it as it only low milage (30,000)

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Rob

The timing chain is automatically adjusted via & pad & spring mechanism .......... Get a new pad, rocker gasket & front plate gasket from Mr Dealer man & off with the rocker cover & Front plate & see whats what ...... The chains will do 150k but the pads are a law to them selves.......
