I have blown rings in the second cylinder of my accord. I want to just rebuild the whole thing now. So where can I get a good rebuild kit? I can't spend over 1500 so I can't go big time. I know it will cost me performance, but I can't afford more.

are you planning to do this yourself. if so...it may be a cheaper to rebuild the motor yourself...but if you are willing to fork over up to 1500....you can find a fairly good used motor and that will save alot more time as well. rebuilding is very labor intensive. normally if you want to rebuild a engine...you would want to clean out and hone the engine internal areas. w/out the proper tools....would mean you would probably have to send off the entire engine to be rebuilt by a machine shop. but if you are still set on rebuilding...try this web site http://www.rpmmachine.com/enginerebuildkitshondatop.html

Yes I think I will just get a new motor. I don't know if I can do it myself. The last I want to do is spend all this time and screw up something major and blow it all over again. I found relativley cheap motors, but I'm worried about the quality of the motor. What should I look for in an engine? Or do you know of a place that has a good rep for selling decent used motors?

i am only familiar w/ places in dallas for used motors....just call around to your local used motor shops. always ask what kinda warranty comes along w/ the motor.
