choosing air compressor

hi,
this is my first post and only jsut started getting into this hobby.

i'm waiting for an badger anthem airbrush to arrive and in need of a compressor.
would this be ok to use for a airbursh?

any tips or brands to go with in choosing a air compressor?

Too big. Look for an Iwata or Paasche compressor. www.towerhobbies.com should have them.

have you considered just buying an air can for your first time? if your just getting into it it may be wise instead of dumping money into a compressor...walmart has a rather large can for about $10 CAN

Btw Aircan is the worst thing to buy.. Best way to loose money. Damn you pay 10$ for air !! in less than a year, you will pay more for those can of air than a good compressor. I used them first, I wasn't even hable to finish a model. also you can't control the pressure, so it's always too much for detail work

I have to agree with Eric, an air can is a complete waste of money.

Check out ebay, you can get airbrushing compressors for a fraction of the retail price.

personally, I got my compressor for 149$Cnd (about 110$us) and it came with a nailgun for big hardware work.. 100Psi, 1.5Hp 2 Gallon tank.

i want to do a bit of practicing with the air brush first so i proberbly be wasting alot of air using cans.

anyone know of some decent compressors UK based?

I use a 10 gallon air tank that I bought at sears. It works wonders for me!
