Since I know nothing about cars.....

Prior to purchasing my 97 SE (58K miles) last month, the following work was done to my car by the dealership:

The Oil Sending Unit was replaced
The Drive Belt was replaced
The Speed Position Seal was replaced
The broken Antenna Mast was replaced
The CD Player was replaced
The Cruise Control was repaired

My question to the board is:

Is this normal for the year and/or miles? Does any of this work lead one to believe that the previous owner didn't take good care of the car? Are there things I should be on the lookout for? As far as I can tell, the car drives great and is a lot of fun!

The car came back clean on CarFax and there was only one previous owner, who drove the car approx 8K miles per year.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Blue Book was $9810 and I paid $9K at an Infiniti dealership.

I have a 1997 Maxima SE with 100,206 miles right now and I haven't had any of the repairs you listed except for the two engine belts. Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems with this car. Oh, and I had to change the power steering hoses because the factory clamps managed to cut through the hoses enough to cause a leak. New hoses and clamps... under $10 bucks at AutoZone.
