Make sure you watch the widescreen version. Crucifixions always look better in widescreen. :bigthumb: The scourging/crucifixion scenes were awesome, in case you haven't seen the movie yet, though the final scene is very cheesy.

In Wicker Park Josh Hartnett plays this dude that falls in love with this girl, but the girl's friend is in love with him. So Josh and this girl date and fall in love with each other and then the girl has to go away to Europe for a lil. So she tells her friend to tell Josh about it so he won't get mad. So the friend doesn't give Hartnett the note and the girl and him seperate. He moves away to N.Y. and she goes to Europe.
So a couple years go by and Josh comes back to town at the same time Lisa (the girl) does. So Alex (the friend) runs in to Matt (Hartnett) after he runs into his friend Luke. Alex pretends to be a girl named Lisa and dates Luke to get info and stuff on Matt.
Long story short Matt figures the shit out and then comes the ending.
I still think he should've gone with the psycho chick. :2cents:

Oh I KNOW! I mean, you're absolutely right! Who would buy a movie because they WANT TO?!? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. OBVIOUSLY if you like a movie, you're supposed to rent it all the time like normal people do. And a movie like "The Passion"? Who watches that? Who wants to know what Christ suffered through, like they might believe in that religion or something?! WHO THE HELL DOES THAT?!?! You OBVIOUSLY know what's going on, whereas the rest of these cretins who want to buy The Passion are stupid for wanting to understand further the pain suffered by Christ in his final hours. I mean, after all, it's not like that is important to anyone.

That movie had subtitles the whole time, so you're pretty much reading the Bible. Last time I checked, you can get the Bible for free, but DVDs still cost money. So why pay $20, when you can get a copy of the book for free? I heard the book was better than the movie anyway.

Well, unless you can understand aramaeic(sp?), then I'd think the subtitles were necessary. Yes, the bible is better than the movie, the bible is a great book in general (the best book made, in the eyes of many), but the movie is to show you how he suffered.

You're so unoriginal it's pathetic. Which wouldn't be bad, but you obviously try real hard to be this sarcastic, clever boy. :disappoin

I agreed with everything he said in his post, unusual that i agree with him on something. I can't agree with him on any political issues, but religion seems to be something we both agree on, i thought that post was pretty funny myself AMG.

Yes, obviously.
You have every right to believe the movie as real and buy it and watch it over and over again, reassuring yourself that your belief is true. And I have the right to watch it once, take it for what it's worth, and never see it again and be completely satisfied. But this is a discussion for another thread (not "Wicker Park" ).......

I understand this. I responded in a way I felt was appropriate. I can't always be certain those whom I respond to will always accept it, but then in the same right, I don't care. I was merely defending the movie, because, the way you put it was basically tearing it down. I mean think of it "who the hell would buy the passion?" A lot of people would, and that's what I was hinting at. I'm not saying you are wrong with your beliefs, but that's not to say that others don't think it's a movie worth buying and watching more than once. Had you responded with the above comment instead of the one in question that started this stupid shit fight, I probably would have answered in a different manner. Now, as you have said, this is a discussion of the movie "Wicker Park" so lets put this arguing to the side and be on with it.
Is this movie any good? Or am I gonna be disappointed when I pay money for it, if I even do?
