What spark plugs to get?

I have a 1996 2.2 automatic. It has 156,029 miles on it, and I plan to do some very basic mods like intake, catback, etc,. I was thinking about getting a set of NGK iridium spark plugs, but I'm thinking that might be too hot a spark for a high mileage car like mine, but I'm not sure. Or should I just stick with platinums?

waste of good money.

Get standard ACDelco's or at best AC Delco Platinums.

I have the PC plats in my gf's cav and they are nothing but awesome.

getting 39.8mpg on the highway and she has 125,000miles on the odometer.

I agree with BlazerLT, AC Delco Platinums are the best choice. And just a bit of inside info, the NGK Iridiums are just relabeled AC Delco Platinums, with 3 times the sticker price.

Platinums are your best bet. NGK's are for Imports. I always had good luck with NGK's in my Toyota's. Different strokes for different folks.

Go here and find what AC Delcos are for your car.

http://www.acdelco.com/html/catalog/index_auto.htm

Note the GAP also.

Go to ebay and search for them there.

I bought 8 AC Delco Plat's for the cavalier for $20.

They idle awesome, the car is pretty powerful and the 40mpg can never be denied.
