well my chick's dad bought him self a brand new f150 pickup.. extended cab that the four doors open when you open the front doors...

well here the promblem...

promblem #1
You driving like 40 -50 mph... just driving.. then it just turns off... you have to slap it inot neutral and crank it back up while still running down the streets...

promblem #2
you turn on the lights or have the auto lights on.. and the lights in the dash and radio lights turn off... the radio still playing like normal but the display is off....

promblem #3
you are at a stop and it revs up by itself like it wants to take off.. you gotta press the brake harder or it will still drag forward... it revs up to 1800 rpms.. close to the 2.

promblem #4
you are on idle with the air con on. and it wil just trun off... then it staggers a lil to turn on...

promblem #5
water gets in through the back window... they say it is the third brake light...

it has been taken to the dealership 3 times already.. but they never find nothing but the water getting in and also i stayed there with them till the lights inside started acting up.. si they got that also... turn the knob off and the inside lights are on... the radio display is also on...
also the little information box it has on the lower right hand corner of the dash where the speed is at starts to flicker when the lights are on... any lights... the driving lights or the quarts...

any suggestions?

does this already go inot that 3-limit law there is when you take the vehicle to the dealer 3 times... even though they didnt find those other promblems but only two of the 5?

Yikes, maybe it IS possessed! I had a '79 Mustang years ago that had some weird electrical problems. When the brights were on & I'd turn a corner real hard all the lights would shut off. Or if you had the headlights on & used the turn blinker it would blink eratically, not in the normal rythmic way it should. It had other issues too... went thru thermostats like underwear, random no-start problems, even started back up after I turned it off & pulled the key out of the ignition one day (it was dieseling prior to this though). ...but I dirgress... I'd find out if there's some sort of lemon-law in the state where you live. There is one here in CA, but I'm not sure on the details. I'd put money on that truck being built at 4:30pm on a Friday!

Well it's warranty so not much to worry about... if this place is that daft that they can't figure it out, i'd try another dealership.

Good luck!

Sounds like someone left off a ground wire or two when they put it together. there's a lot of them and are there for particular reasons, things don't work right when they're not properly grounded.

ever heard of the lemonlaw??

well the lemon law in every state is diffrent it may be 3 or 6 times for the same problem they cant fix, first things first get the vin number and have a dealer run an "oasis" on it and find the birthdate of the vehicle i've got money riding on it being built on friday after lunch !! darn drunk union guys !! but yes thats a serious electrical problem, could be a ground.. could be a shorting wire harness
