performance upgrade for E60 530??

I recently bought the 2004 530, though I really enjoy it, the car needs a bit more Hp. Anyone know of any uprades available for this model in the US yet, everything on the net is in Germany.

I also purchased a "Chris Bangle" 530i this year, and I really like mine too, but it is hard finding aftermarket parts for it, i.e. cell phone bracket, navigation that works with the iDdirve, etc. and this forces me to buy from BMW, which gets expensive!$$$

About the additional performance that you are seeking, they are some really good BMW mech.'s / tech.'s here at the forum, who knows maybe one will see our postings and get back with us on what we can purchase for our 04 530i's without breaking us $$$ money wise. :banghead:

Not to disappoint but it's a little soon for anthing 'effective' from the aftermarket here with the emission laws etc...and the future will only bring marginal gains in what you have now.
How 'bout marveling at what BMW gave you from a 3 liter 6 cyl.??? or the incredible handling of a car that carries 5 people??? or the....hope you get my idea and enjoy............maybe the V-8 next time?......jeff b.

You know I have own my fair share of new USA cars in my lifetime, from new Z-28's, and two new corvettes (1985 &1987). Now those Corvettes handled and ran excellent, now its has been a while, but I believe our new 04 530i's would had taken it in a race, it don't matter if it was on a curvy or straight off road course.

I will not look for performance parts for our 2004's, because Jeff B answered that issue quite well, (and by the way, he is right for us in the US and our emission laws we have to live with, etc),

But on the BMW 5 series accessory's, I will continue to search high and low for BMW 5 series accessories parts on Ebay & the www, I.e., BMW Navigation, BMW/Alpine "logic 7" CD system, BMW/ Motorola blue tooth technology cell phone that work with the idrive system. But while I search I will continue to enjoy this awesome Chris Bangle fine Hi tech BMW German machine that gets us all the looks and smiles from the American ladies! :iceslolan

I agree Eddie, just personalizing your car can be very rewarding. This was AMG's big thing in the US years ago. While the engine mod's were availible for some $$$$$$$$$ most customers concentrated on body kits, wheels and suspension sometimes with "Hammer" like results and really set their cars apart, made them their own.
