info. on the tranny

i have a 2000 grand am automatic tranny. i was wondering where the dipstick is located so i can check the color on the fluid. thanks for your help

I also have a 2000 Grand Am with the 3.4ltr engine and automatic transmission. There is no dipstick. I was confused with this at first also. In the maunal it says the dealer can check it when you bring it in for service. But while searching for other things I found the cap to check the fluid. Its on teh drivers side. It has a yellow cap. and is down towards the bottom of the engine but you can see and access it from the top. hope this helps.
