I've been thinking of buying 14" or 15" non-alu rims and new (normal) wintertyres for my -95 Golf III CL. It now has 13"s and register says it is legal to put 14" or 15".
Question is: Im worried about how would 15"s fit into it since they appeal more to me than 14"s :) Im mostly worried about warm, wet winter springweather when snow packs up to tyres and then freezes to 'em. Anyone hav experience of 15" that how much space do they hav to roll in their places :uhoh: Do they hav extraspace for a possible snow freezing to 'em? Or would it be better to take the smaller 14" :disappoin

I really can't see 15"s as being a problem, even 16"s with a stock ride height usually fit.
I wish I'd gotten 15"s, but the price was right for the 14"s I got. I have to deal with snow too, but don't see how it would be a problem .. if it somehow accumulated enough to rub on the inner fenders, it would just melt the snow and eliminate the problem.
