2 wheel to 4 wheel

I read a post somewhere on this site saying that it was not worth it to change a truck from 2x to 4x. It is not that difficult!!!! any one who can find a donor truck for all the brackets and crossmembers CAN do this!!
I am currently finishing up the front suspension on my 88 suburban to install a dana 44 where there was 2 wheel drive. if any one needs info on this please E mail me!!!
