Ran 11.328 at 125.95 tonight. Only thing different from the last 12.0 at 126 is some half assed NLTS. Definitely works wonders on big turbos.
Unfortunately the front water pipe blew right out of the water pump and made a mess. Not sure what the damage is. Car might be done for the year, havent decided. Everytime I went to the track this year, the car broke. Except the SO. Getting tired of working on it ;)

bad ass. how much $ is involved when producing a car that runs in the low 11's ??

Thanks guys.

Enough that it hurts me to think about it :D If you add up all the parts on the car I dont think its 10 grand. But all the stuff that I break, or upgrade 5 times in small increments (like injectors) really adds up...

The car pulls all over the place in 3rd and 4th. Its a whole new ballgam going 8 mph faster than I was before (~80 WHP more). Its a good time, but its scary. Even when the car holds together I'm afraid something Broke :D

No Lift To Shift, the dsmlink option. It helps a shitload, ESPECIALLY when you don't want to lose boost on a big turbo and combine it with some other DSMlink features. The .2 seconds it takes to spool 3 gears is more than half a second right there. Stutterbox and NLTS are half the reason to get DSMlink over anything else.

Thanks guys. Yes, no lift to shift. I usually call it stutter shift but have aodopted the DSMlink terminolgy. Its worth mentioning that I had this feature 4 years ago with my TMO chip, and had to wait a long time before DSMlink incorporated it into thier product.
I've been saying that NLTLs will be huge on this turbo. I think some people were thinking yeah right, well lets see it... There it is :D By NLTSing the 3-4 I picked up 3 mph 2 weeks ago. And considering the 1-2 and 3-4 are all about ET, it doesnt take a genious. :) Its tough to get the balls to do it wil ~500 whp though, IMO. But I'm glad I gave it one shot and blew up POS stylee.
.5 is huge Joe, theres no question there. But the mph was there, so it had to happen eventually. Last time out I picked up 8 mph over my best. This car never was much for incrememental improvements. Its nothing for over a year, then comes on all at once :D Some better driving and that ET will get much lower. Add a few more mph and things could get serious. IF the car will stay together that is ;)
I'd like to dyno again, even if I dont race the car agian this year. Curious to see what kind of power it takes to run these times in a full weight 2g. The lighter 1Gs are doing it with 500 whp, so I'm guessing 520 is appropriate, and thats what the math says as well. We'll see.

Well its hard to say... A couple weeks back I hit the 126 mph and still ran 11.8. The difference to the 11.3 was the full throttle shifting. If you mean the original 11.84 at 117 last June, I changed just about everything ;)

THATS NOT GOOD ENOUGH DAMNIT... I SAID 10s!
just playin man, glad to hear you need a roll cage now  good work - keep it up!
BTW: i cant seem to find the pictures of your engine cause i was curious what intake manifold you are running?

Funny thing is though, there's a WEIRD curve to horsepower/ET ratio. Locally I'm seeing that Hoffman ran 12.7@110 on an EVO3 16g (40lbs/min), while Dave Landry ran 12.7@120 (53lbs/min). The stock motor cars that drive hard run faster than the high power guys that have to take it easy. Dave's got 560whp on a FP3065. Kevin has a bigger turbo than that, but less the nitrous. It takes a LOT of balls to run 11's. In Alaska, an 11 was run on a small turbo and a 75 shot. When you've got the power to break something every run, you're asking for disaster if you drive it like a Honda. Kevin's running harder than some of the higher power guys here, but not as hard as the low power cars that won't break. It takes a $50k+ car (shep) to run hard AND make a shitload of power. Kevin, how much airflow are you pushing? I know your turbo is rated for what, 75lbs/min?
EDIT>> He's got a BJ's mani :)
FYI, Dave landry has a lot of room to improve, he's taking it easy on a lot of levels. Launches at 3k rpm, shifts only at 6500, slow shifting.. etc.

Yes, BJs mani. Its in the mod list on the POSR site. Also, if you click the link in the list for the 3.5" MAF there are engine pics. I was moving ~62 lbs/min on these runs. Timing is still conservative so I'm still not making the power the airflow dictates. Well, I am since it works out to 650 crank HP at 20% loss, but typically DSMs get closer to 10 whp per pound. I didnt get any knock either, so I need to turn up the timing. I'm going to take a real quick look at the car tomorrow and see if there is anything left for this season. There is a track rental Oct 1st that I may be able to get in on without a cage. Not sure. A better launch would have me at ~11.0-11.1, add a couple mph and its in the 10s. IF it stays together ;)

LMAO, tell me about it... ITs a little cleaner now that the cars are out. Unfortunately for this year the car was mostly track driven. It was my daily driver up until april or may. From then on its been having one problem after another. Around that time I bought the tow vehicle, so I stopped rushing to get the car together, overnighting parts, etc. Basically just took it easy this year. The biggest push was to get ready for the shootout.
The car will still be a "daily driver", at least a few days a week ;) I need to get the spool out of the tranny though and put another 4 spider SD diff in there first though. I probably wont drive in the winter anymore either. The last 4 years of winters have done nothing but beat the hell out of my FMICs, even if it is fun driving :) The dually will have to serve winter duty.
