Mod Possibilities 87 Accord

Hey everyone, as you can see, I'm new here, and I'm really not a car guru(not that I wouldn't mind learning! but that's why I'm here).

Just recently I got my hands on an 87 accord lxi hatchback(auto). It's got 202k miles on it, but the transmission was rebuilt 4000 miles ago, it very recently had a valve job(not sure what was done), and it drives very nicely with no problems.

I want to know what I can do to make it faster. I think it has some kind of an air intake, it's LOUD, and it has a cat-back muffler system, not sure what kind, but it's loud too, and it isn't stock. My cousin said I could turbo it, which sounds awesome, but I don't know how much money that would cost me OR if it would mess up my engine. If my car isn't moddable, tell me, but if there are possibilities to make it quick, do let me know!
