Paint question...

I am curious, i am considering painting my car, But i want to go dark blue, with the spoiler black and the t top bar thingy black and 35 ann. silver stripes....Will this look good..yay or ney...Any suggestions on what color i should go, and good combos....

i would go all dark blue, with the silver ann. stripes, and leave the roof black, but paint the spoiler blue, AND then paint around the tail lights black, like the 2002 zl-1 camaro supercar.

the canvertible SS in the lower right corner has the black or charcoal paint around the tail lights

Keep the spoiler blue.. It'l look much better..

Throw a little blue pearl into the silver stripes.. they'l look real cool.. almost like ghost stripes depending on how much pearl you put in

i think he was going to get the stripe kit, and stick it on

Get them painted on when you get the car painted.. It looks a hundred times better, and if you have an honest bodyman.. (if your not doin it yourself) it wont cost a lot.. The guy who did my car, painted the 25th anniv. stripes on my 91' for free..

I love them painted on, they wont fade and you wont get wax build up on them

me too.. I coulda had a guy make me the exact decals for cheap.. But I wanted paint.. I hate stickers!!!
givem' a year and theyre peelin off and fading and they will never have the same glossy metallic look as real paint

While we are on the subject, im curious how much does a paintjob like this gonna cost, or an average paint job?

it all depends.. It varies so much.. WHere I live, the average body shop rate is $85.00hr CDN..
So to get an average vehicle painted is about $4000.. What I did to save money is strip all the parts off the car myself.. (everything that a body shop would normally take off..) and re-assembled it after it was all painted.. I saved at least $1500-$2000 in labour costs..
