What should he do???
Go with a set of Edelbrock heads for a lt1
or
have Lyod Elliot Port and Polish his stock set and put in bigger valves for the same amount of money???

IT's all what do you want to spend vs what are you gonna get but I'd say AFR's!!!!! And if you want to be nutty send em to TEA before you slap em on.

the two sets of heads above are close in price range thats why they and only they are listed... a set of afr's are a lot more and then to have them sent out to be worked over more is crazy...

AFR's would be nice but for the money it just crazy... I dont care what the flow numbers are... You can get heads for less money that make great power without going with AFR's...

It's like I said price vs. what you get... but god dam AFR gouges you Chevy guys!!!!!! SBF Edlebrock vs SBF AFR of comparable heads levels are within a couple hundred max difference.

I'd have to know his specific application, each heads flow ratings, and his future plans. But answering blind I'd get the Edelbrocks you can always work those a lot more after if you want to unlike the stockers already once worked over if the are close in price.

the sbf edlebrock / afr is a lot diffrent than a sbc lt1 engine, the heads are about 1000 more for afr's...

we the lt1 crew do not have a lot to work with when it comes to heads, stock lt1 pp with bigger valves, stock lt4 pp with bigger valves, lt1 edlebrock, and lt1 afr's...

Brodix use to make a set but they fell short and did not preform as they thought they should so they nolonger sell them...

I say go with the stock lt1 heads and have them pp with bigger valves...

I notice hence why I said AFR really gouge you guys on that one. Trick Flow makes LT-1 heads, I don't know how much they cost but you can give them a look too.

yea i forgot about that one but i guess because they are for a larger CI or Forced Induction... Not something you want to bolt up to a slightly moded 350...

Trickflows should stick with Mustangs...they suck ass on lt1's, either that or the guy wasn't lying and he really did miss a gear, I just thought that was kinda hard to do in an AUTOMATIC!!!!! lol

even if he was manually shifting an auto and went from first to third the tranny would still go through second........
