New User - Car trouble

Hey all, im new to this forum. ive been browsing around the posts and such and decided to register.
My question is, could i put in a different 6G72 in place of the stock motor in my 96 diamante ES? my engine is like [ ] close to giving up on me. i found a TT 6G72 but ive never heard of it. does any body know if all the 6G72s have the same mounting points or anything? thanks in advance
