Problem Programming Keyless Entry Remote

Can someone help. I'm trying to program a keyless entry remote (I bought a used TB and it didn't have any remotes). I've followed all the steps posted in other threads and provided. All steps appear to work. The TB enters programming mode. When I hold the two buttons down on the remote, eventually, the TB locks and unlocks to show is programmed, then I turn the ignition to ON, or Run and the horn honks to show its out of programming mode. Then, when I use the remote, nothing happens.

Please help. Thanks.

Take the remote to the dealer or a locksmith adn have the output checked. It could be a low battery, weak output from transmitter, or even worn microswitches inside the transmitter not making intermitten contact.

Thanks. I will check that if no luck with trying anything else. I would still like to know why the horn honks when I enter programming mode and exit programming mode. None of the directions say this will happen and other people who have posted this question don't have a reply to their post on the question. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

Problem solved. I took it to the dealer. It needed a new module in the TB. The remotes were fine. The TB responded to programming, it just wouldn't keep the remotes programmed in the memory. Why the horn? I don't know if this was a signal something was wrong, or if it is normal. Either way, they are programmed now and I'm not going to re-program them to find out if the horn still honks entering and leaving program mode. Hope this helps for any others with this problem.
