I see that AEM has an attachment to ttheir CAIs that make it so water cannot enter the intake. Do you guys think that it is risky to run a CAI with out somthing like this, and if so do you know if the AEM will fit othe CAIs?

Nope not at all,,,,,I feel there really isn't a risk of that in our carsdue to the fact of the location of the filter....It's pretty well hide fromsplash ups and what not......The only possible way I see water getting into your intake would be to drive threw a puddle 2-3 feet deep, which I highly doubt anyone driving a Sentra is gonna go..:D
But when I first got my intake and instaled it I keep an eye on that situation, and everytime it rained hard I would check the filter and it would be bone dry....And ten when winter time rolled around Iand it snowed I also checked the filter and no wate then either..And the same went for slushy conditions.....So I feel pretty safe like I said....

Speaking of AEM, do you know if they have finished thier CAI for the SpecV's or are they even making them at all.

I'm not even sure...But to be honest I don't think so as of yet cause I haven't heard any talk of anyone instaling one yet.....But as soon as I find out I'll let everyone know....
P.S. somone dyno'd a an AEM and a Place Racing cai on a SR20DE and the AEM was a 1-2 hp increaseover the Place Racing...Now you gotta ask yourself is that really worth an extra $100 bucks?????

Hell yeah it's worth saving $100. What people don't understand is that all your paying for is the name, I would like to have AEM in my car but if there's not gonna be that much difference in the power and it's cheaper, then what do you think? What's up with that prototype that that guy Rod had. Are they selling those, what exactly do they look like. How much is Place Racing asking for them.:alien:

Not really sure on the prototype intake but I know they are selling them...
As far as how much Place Racing is,,,,,they are generally in the price range of $200.....

Too bad none of you had a B14 (Sr20) I'm selling my AEM CAI, brand new for $190 + shipping. I bought it thinking I might be able to squeeze it into the G20 but I was too far off.

AEM for $200?! Hey can you hook us up with that price too when the CAI comes out for the Spec V? Maybe a group buy?

any Honda or Acura like a 93 ( dime a dosen for real cheap) then jsut put it on backwards. No mods except the hole in your car for it to meet the outside. And a maf plate to connect it to the MAF with a coupler
