missfiring help!

ok well i checked my coils and they are all in all the way is it possible that one of the coils is shot and thats why it missfires?? how should i go upon checking that pull one off the distributor at a time and if i find that it runs even shitter then the coils good but if it runs even worse then thats my shot one?

well i pulled the coils off the #7 and then the #6 cylinders and said fuck it b/c all it did was make it run 150 rpm's lower so mabye all of the coils are shot i dunno this is pissing me off b/c the ignition doesn't move so i don't see how the timing could have moved if the thing doesn't turn, but like i said before my vac lines also start out at 18 then rise up to 24 is this normal never seen it do that before, i kinda wanna fix this problem today any help is greatly appriciated

this is an 87 camaro correct?? what do you mean by "coils" there should only be one coil..

if its miss firing, than you should start with the basics.. are your plugs ok?? Check your wires, make sure theyre connected good and solid, use die-electric grease when re-installing them.. Check under your cap, is it clean and dry? how is the rotor?

oh and the method of trouble shooting you are referring too, is to take off one plug wire at a time.. every time you pull one off, it SHOULD run worse..

If you pull a plug wire off and the idle doesnt change, than you know that cylinder isnt firing properly..

yeah im gonna finish that checking tomarrow and by coils i ment wires

i think u should replace the ditributor cap, rotor butto, plugs, 7 wires, if that doesnt do it, i dont know what ur problem could possibly be!

well i checked the wires one at a time and they all seem to be working now im pissed ive not driven my car for like 4 days now
