creeeek

driving in my 240 today, on gravel roads and such, and when i came to a stop sign, i stopped and turned my steering wheel a bit. then i heard a creeeeek' sound when i turned it. what you think it is? power steering seems just fine, just as good as it usually is, but its never made that creeeking sound before.

it prolly is the p/s. check your atf level.

hmmmm, how do i check that?

i know my p/s fluid is fine, i checked that, where is the atf located?

could be a loose p/s belt.

it could be possibly the CV axles, on a car i had once it did that. When ever you turn the wheel it makes a squeking or creeeking noise. not sure but that may be it

it could just be the damn rubber on the back of the steering wheel rubbing against the plastic/rubber piece on the steering column. my old 240 squeeked too, and that's all that it was.

well it goes and comes, im not too worried about it, my car steers just fine, but thanks all for the suggestions
