Antifreeze is leaking from the rear of the engine compartment and dripping off the tranny area. The front side of the engine and top of the engine is dry and I checked the heater lines for leaks and found nothing. I Changed oil and there was not any coolant in it. The performance is good and there is not any abnormal engine noise. My first thought was head gasket but the symtoms are not there, but ist is loosing a good amount of fluid to the point it is not being driven. It will stop dripping but as soon as you fill the radiater whether the engine is running or not it will begin to leak.
Need help with this one guys Any ideas.

Where on the rear of the engine compartment? My initial thought was heater core, but you would smell that inside/see it inside more than likely. It's obviously a low leak, b/c it's dripping out whether you have it hot or not. If it's leaking as fast as you say it really shouldn't be much of a problem to SEE it leaking out....You've got me on this. There is nowhere I can think of that coolant would leak out of whether running or not near the back of the engine. Guess this is a dumb question, but you are SURE it is leaking from the back, right? It doesn't only leak there after you drive it?

No it had stoped dripping while I was working with the heater hoses and then I filled it and it began to run out. Now It could be telescoping from somewhere else. I am going to search further.
Thank you for the reply if ya think of something else let me know

Here is the back of the Isuzu 3.2 engine. I put an arrow in the areas where I believe 2eye was referring to. There are two pipes that flow into one, underneath the intake.

thats not what I was referring to but that is a possibility.
what I am talking about is under the intake manifold not behind the cylinder heads
there was mention of the heater hoses being moved around big no no it causes the goofy o-rings to crack and will cause a coolant leak

I found that photo on the Internet somewhere and thought it might come in handy someday.
I wonder if Tech01 was able to fix the leak...

Nope not yet found out the only way to get back there is to pull the heads or pull the tranny, so I will be that fun this weekend, but will let ya know what I find.
Thanks Derrrick

Good to know, can you think of anything else I should be watching for while trying to get to that area.
