can i manually roll up a power window ?

OK my driver side power window is not working i really newed to roll it up the old owner of the car told me to remove the panel and upshe it up while pressing the up button , tried that yesterday but did'nt work.
is their a whay to manuall roll it up ?
oh and it's a 89 limited

No manual way that I know of unless you disconnect the link between the motor and the window. Then you would need to brace the window in the up position somehow.
Is this the only window there is a problem with???

You didn't say what's wrong with the window. Is the switch bad? The motor? Do the other windows work?
If it's a bad switch, you can "bypass" it and power the motor to raise the window. You may even be able to swap switches.

well after trying to pry it back up i remounted the door panel and went out withit wen i got back home forgetting that it did'nt work i pushed the switch to rull it up and up it went but the other sides windows did'nt and when i cheked it was the cables that were loose behind the buttons.....
