some mornings there is blue smoke coming from my exhaust right when i start the car. i cannot believe that my valve stem seals (i think) are somewhat worn out on my 99 cobra with an 01 engine in it!!!
the engine has like 30k on it, WTF?!
what kind of additive should i add to my oil system? when should i add it? when should i change the oil?
as you can tell i have never had this problem before. please help me out if you can.
recommend a brand name/type of additive if you have experience/heard that it does its job.
thanks

i've had good luck with the Restore oil additive. that seems to work well on seals, but i'm not sure how it does on gaskets and rings. you add that when you change your oil, right before you add the normal oil.

Restore oil additive works very well I've used it in the past. Im just wondering why he would be having this problem so early. Blue smoke on start up is something I would expect out of a high mileage engine. Not one with 30,000 miles.

im not sure why you would have valve seal probs with such low miles . but that is what it sounds like . if the additives dont work in case you didnt know you can change the valve seals without pulling the heads off.if you did know sorry no offence.
