Strange whine at startup

I have a 2001 S10 ZR2, and lately I've been hearing a loud whine at startup coming from the front of the engine. It only happens when the engine is somewhat warm. (Like the truck has been shut off for 30mins - 1 hr. Dosen't happen when the truck has been shut off for only a few min.) It only lasts for a few minutes if the truck is idleing, and it goes away at higher RPM. It also seems to have something to do with the secondary air pump system, because if I hold my hand over the air pump hose the whine immediatly stops. Has anybody had this same problem, or any suggestions?

Nope. The power steering fluid is fine. The noise only seems to be present when the air pump is running. Like I said above, the noise will stop when you cover the air inlet hose with your hand, and come back when you remove your hand.

Nope, not belts either. I originally was thinking the same thing. Or maybe a pulley berring, but checked that already.

Your Secondary Air Pump Is A High Speed Motor And It Is Going To Whine Until It Shuts Off. If It Excessively Loud Then You Will Have To Check The System For Clogs. Check The Hoses And Valves And Make Sure They Are Not Clogged.

Ok, I'll check them. Thanks.
