Clutch Problem??

I have no mods as of right now but i drive a 1995 talon tsi and wen i shift into thrid and give it some gas my tachometer will go up in rmps really fast or it will stay still. Could this be from my clutch? And if it is i went to few places that install clutches and they said it would be about 250 to install? Is that good?

Sounds like you will be needing a new clutch. I am not really sure but 250 does not seem that bad IMO
