Well,
I just repo'd a '02 Malibu that has the infamous A/C and recirculating problem. The lights are flashing off and on and back andd forth. I thought, well I am glad that my '01 Malibu that I own isn't doing that.
Well, should have knocked on wood cause mine is doing it now. Do I have to replace the whole unit, or do just those switches come out of the back like on some fords?
Thanks for the help.
PS. I think my extended warranty knows me and my car by name now!

I'm looking for a fix. I hate having to replace those control panels for $$$.

Maybe it is just me, but it seems like it acts up more at night and when it is humid outside.

It's a very common problem, only fix is replace to a late model control panel.
I have 97 malibu and recently replaced it with new control panel. Many people report that even after replaced, it will have same problem soon or later but I hope late model shoud be fine. Oh I have extended warranty and I am so glad to have it!!!
