i'm preordering mine for MSRP . . . but it really depends on the demand where you live. just call as many dealers as you can, basically.

I pre-prdered a Z at MSRP in CA and another one at MSRP in Denver, just as a backup. Figured this doubled my chances.

What do you mean? Can they do that? It's a contract when someone deposits and places an order. They can't just sell it to someone else for more money, unless they wanna break the contract. Can they?

 I just got my card telling me that I had ordered a 350Z.. guess what... the name was wrong! I called the dealer and found out that every person who ordered a 350z got the wrong name attached to our cards. The dealer said that Nissan was fixing it so I will have TWO cards.. ha ha ha... Cant wait to see list of what I ordered.. and I aint even gonna say how hard it is to wait till Aug!

Hello everyone!
When I first approached a dealer in San Jose (Capital Nissan),I was told that all the dealers in Santa Clara County agreed on a 5K markup. I told them that I thought that sucked. Thay just smiled back at me.
I then began calling around, and found another dealer who agreed to let me order one for 1K over MSRP. The salesperson also told me not to tell anyone, as they were charging 3K, I felt pretty lucky, I still do.
Charging over MSRP aught to be against the law. But hey, that's capitalism.
